This is a special sheet metal enclosure fabricated on CNC machines and Powder coated after a 7 Tank process and the enclosure is designed for reducing the sound level to 75 dB(A) (average) at a distance of 1 meter, from the canopy when DG set is working at 75% load (as per IS 8510, Part 10), It is weather proof suitable for any outdoor applications.

The Acoustic enclosure consist of the following:-

Base Frame :

Base frame is fabricated either in ISMC channel or in sheet metal. The base frame will be primer coated and painted. The base frame is rugged in construction and designed for mounting the engine and alternator close coupled, with cross members. The base frame has provision for mounting of acoustic enclosure & control panel on it. The base frame is having provision of lifting hook for convenient lifting of complete set i.e. along with canopy, engine and alternator.

Fuel Tank :

Fuel Tank is fabricated out of 14SWG CRCA MS sheet and is part of base frame. It is mounted in base frame with capacity for minimum eight hours continuous running of the DG set on full load. Fuel Tank has have Drain plug, hand hole for cleaning, vent breather, fuel level float with gauge, fuel suction and return connections.

Acoustic Insulation :

High density FT T-30 Acoustic Foam (Density - 32 Kg/m3, Tensile strength - 130 Kpa) fire retarded / non-igniting and noise reduction type properly clamped shall be provided on all doors, roof and sides to absorb noise.

Resin Bonded Rock wool having density 96 Kg/m3 properly covered with Fiber cloth/tissue & perforated sheet.
Sound attenuators / down stream silencers (side louvers) are provided at all openings for air inlet / outlet to facilitate free airflow but to absorb sound resulting in extreme low noise level.

Ventilation System :

A suitably designed Force Draught ventilation system (Wherever necessary axial blower is provided).

Vibration Insulation :

A specially designed Shock mounts for vibration insulation are mounted between enclosure and feet of engine and alternator.

Noise Suppressor (Residential Silencer)

Absorption type non resistance Residential Silencer insulated from inside with glass wool shall be provided to suppress exhaust noise from the engine. AC tube light is provided inside the Canopy.
